King Creamy Seafood Information

Tucked into a busy stretch of East Busch Boulevard, King Creamy Seafood at 5400 E Busch Blvd #31 in Tampa is the kind of casual neighborhood spot that seafood fans tend to remember after the first visit. The location sits in a small plaza that’s easy to miss if you’re driving quickly, but once you find it, it feels like discovering a local gem that regulars have quietly been enjoying for a while. The atmosphere is relaxed and straightforward-nothing flashy, just a comfortable diner-style setup where the focus clearly stays on the food and friendly service.

The menu leans heavily into classic Southern-style seafood, with the kind of comforting options you’d expect from a Tampa seafood counter. Fried shrimp baskets, crispy fish fillets, crab legs, and seasoned snow crab clusters show up frequently in customer reviews, and the portions tend to be generous for the price. One of the standout things about the menu is the variety of seafood platters, which let diners mix favorites like shrimp, catfish, and scallops in one order. Many locals mention the garlic butter seafood boils, served hot and well seasoned, as a must-try for first-time visitors. The seasoning blends have a bold, slightly spicy kick that works well with shellfish, especially when paired with corn and potatoes.

Service at the restaurant usually feels warm and personal. Staff members often greet regulars by name, and even first-time guests tend to get menu suggestions if they’re unsure what to order. On a recent visit, the counter staff happily explained the different seafood boil options and recommended a shrimp and crab combination that ended up being one of the most satisfying meals on the menu. Food came out quickly, even during a busy dinner hour, which is something diners frequently highlight in online reviews.

The dining space itself is simple but clean, with a few tables for people who want to eat in rather than grab takeout. A lot of customers seem to order their seafood to-go, especially families picking up dinner or nearby students stopping by after classes from the University of South Florida area. The location makes it convenient for locals who want fresh, flavorful seafood without driving all the way to Tampa’s waterfront restaurants.

Pricing is another point people appreciate. Compared with larger seafood chains or upscale seafood houses around Tampa Bay, the menu here stays affordable while still delivering solid quality and satisfying portions. The fried seafood baskets in particular offer good value, often paired with fries, hush puppies, or coleslaw. For diners who enjoy bold flavors, casual vibes, and a menu packed with comforting seafood favorites, this little Busch Boulevard spot continues to build a reputation through word of mouth and steady local reviews.

What People's Say About Place

Our order was fried fish combo. Shrimp combo. Seafood soup. Seafood soup pasta. And mango drinks. Everything was fantastic. Was a 20 minute wait. Everybody was super friendly. You could even get a sample of the seafood soup before you order.

How amazing to find myself at the Tampa mall walking in space excited about all that was happening when a young man caught my attention and offered me a sample of some of the best seafood soup I have tasted on this side of Tampa!! They were both kind sweet and very enthusiastic about their food and you can tell they cook with love!!!

I really appreciated the cheerful enthusiastic service of the young man who served me. I only tried three items, so I suspect that I would love some of their other offerings. I got the creamy seafood soup, creamy seafood pasta, and a taro boba drink. While I have some constructive criticism, my overall impression of the restaurant and their potential is very positive. Both the creamy seafood soup and the creamy seafood pasta have the same flavor profile, so my remarks apply to both. While I think they taste generally good, I think the oregano\italian spices are overbearing and would be better left out or at least, reduced a lot. I also did not like the cilantro in the soup. I found it out of place and an unwelcome flavor. Finally, to really elevate the soup, it would be awesome to make it more creamy, with more heavy cream. The other item was the boba. I liked the drink part. But the boba pearls were not good. They were overly firm, but worse than that, they were utterly tasteless. They had no sweetness at all, so they ended up seeming like non-food items in the drink, like little balls of soft plastic. They were not appetizing. So I would suggest tweaking your selection and preparation of the boba. But I still want to eat here again and try other items, like some of the fried seafood. I believe you have talent and good work ethic here. Even though you have a lot of positive feedback, I bet people would love your soup even more if you adjust the flavors and make it a bit creamier. Looking forward to trying them out again. And the service was very pleasant. Good luck with your restaurant.
